A gorgeous red merle with piercing blue eyes and great working pedigree, Pebbles came to us after a rough start in life. Her first owners were going through rough times and couldn't keep her. When I first heard that she needed a home, I also learned that she was extremely reserved. After my experience with Nick, I was wary about getting another dog with "issues", but we fell in love with her and she came home with us.
A little bit of love and attention goes a long way and did they ever with Pebbles! Being in a stable environment with individual attention and training made all the difference. She is still reserved with strangers, but no more so than the standard states. She is intense and smart, swims like a fish and is a red streak on the agility course. She's had one litter, July 2000, which produced some great pups.
Pebbles never ceases to amaze me. She is 12 years old and is still competing in agility and loving it!!! She will continue to compete until she tells me shes have enough. At the rate she's going she'll contiune for some time to come. I am very proud of her accomplishments. She qualified for ASCA Agility Finals in 2008 and 2009 unfortunately she was never able to compete.
In early October of 2009 Pebbles was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. We had 7 wonderful weeks with her and she even got to run one last time in the retired class at Harvest Moon Mania She will carry on her legacy through her children, grandchildren, great grand children and now her great-great grandchildren!
